We are proud to present to you our 10-year report. It reflects the activities of the Association Shamir and the Riga Ghetto and Latvian Holocaust museum. The activities include publishing books, filming documentaries, creating exhibitions, organizing concerts and commemorative events, educational projects, conferences, and tours.
The Riga Ghetto and Latvian Holocaust museum was established by the Association Shamir in 2010. Since its opening, the museum has been continuously developing. We are preparing new exhibitions and improving infrastructure. In 2020, we’ve developed a large-scale modernization project for the museum.
Our activities are not limited to Holocaust-related topics. We speak about the need for mutual respect, tolerance, and intercultural dialogue, showing the tragedies of other nations. We cooperate with Latvian and foreign researchers, artists, professors, and experts in different fields.
Opening the new decade, we look with hope to the future, although with much work still to be done.
