On the 28th of November, President of Latvia Raimonds Vejonis at the Castle of Riga presented the highest national award – Cross of Recognition – to head of Association “Shamir” and Riga Ghetto and Latvian Holocaust Musem Rabbi Dr.Menachem Barkahan The state’s highest award was given for a significant contribution to the preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of Latvia and transfer it to the next generations.
